Xinhua News Agency, Khartoum, April 12 (Reporter Ma Yiyiyi) According to Sudans official television station, the Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Military Commission, Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Ov, announced his resignation on the same day and was replaced by Lieutenant General Abdul Fatah Bulhan.
In a televised speech on the evening of December 12, Ibn Ov said that he had resigned as chairman of the Transitional Military Commission for the national interest and that Burhan would take over his post.
Ibn Off said that at the request of Kamal Abdul-Malouf Mahi, Vice-Chairman of the Transitional Military Commission, he also announced the resignation of Mahi.
Sudanese Defense Minister Ibn Ov announced the overthrow of President Bashirs regime on November 11, and was sworn in as Chairman of the Transitional Military Commission on the same day. The United Nations, Russia, the United States, Turkey and other international organizations and countries expressed their hope that all Sudanese parties would remain calm and restrained and solve the problem through dialogue and peaceful means.
