BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- According to Russian Satellite Network, the US Department of Defense released a message on the 10th that the Pentagon has signed a contract with two companies for the construction of the US-Mexico border wall totalling nearly one billion US dollars.

DATA FIGURE: Near Carlissico, California, the US Customs and Border Protection Agency replaced a section of the local border barrier.

Among them, a total of $789 million contract was signed with Texas SLSCO, which will build obstacles in San Teresa, New Mexico.

The second $187 million contract was signed with Barnard Construction Co. Inc., which will build a border wall in Yuma, Arizona.

According to the above two construction contracts, the construction of the border wall is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2020.

Trump had previously declared a state of emergency in the U.S. border area to bypass Congresss use of about $6.4 billion to build fences there. According to the U.S. Constitution, any budget expenditure should be approved by Congress. These measures have been challenged in court.
