Media reports have said that Jingdong is undergoing a round of large-scale layoffs, some teams may be cut in half. It is reported that there are more than 150,000 employees in Jingdong. If the maximum number of jobs is reduced by 8%, it will be equivalent to 12,000 employees being laid off.

Earlier, Jingdong announced that the demand for new jobs in 2019 is expected to reach 15,000 people, of which 10,000 employees will be added in 2019 by Jingdong Logistics. The recruitment targets are mainly frontline employees and grass-roots managers. The recruitment direction of retail sub-groups and other sectors will mainly focus on improving user experience and other fields.
