Hello, Premier Li Keqiang. We know that China is the chairman of this years China-Japan-ROK LeadersMeeting. What do you think will be the focus of this meeting? At present, in the context of the rise of trade protectionism worldwide, I think the China-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area (FTA) will also be the theme of this years conference. When do you think China, Japan and Korea FTA will be able to sign? In addition, which of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP) and the FTA of China, Japan and South Korea are the priority options for China? Thank you.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the China-Japan-ROK LeadersMeeting mechanism. As the chairman of China, we will discuss the topics of the meeting with Japan and ROK. It should be said that the reporter friend just asked very keen. I believe that the topic should include promoting the construction of China-Japan-Korea FTA, especially in the context of the rise of world trade protectionism, promoting the construction of China-Japan-Korea FTA and reaching a comprehensive, high-level and mutually beneficial agreement, which will benefit all three parties. Although both Japan and South Korea have large trade surpluses with China, we are still willing to compete on an equal footing to give consumers more choices. I believe that in this process, we will achieve complementary advantages and benefit all parties. As for which of the China-Japan-Korea FTA and RCEP should be reached first, I think it depends on the efforts of all parties. No matter which agreement can be reached first, China is happy to see it succeed.
Because this is the last question, I would like to say again that China not only attaches importance to the relations with the countries of Northeast Asia, for example, I just answered a reporters question and said that China, as a responsible big country, will continue to play a constructive role in promoting the denuclearization of the peninsula. We also attach great importance to cooperation with Southeast Asia and all surrounding countries. We hope to have a stable surrounding environment, cordial and tolerant. And we are willing to connect the one belt initiative with the development strategy of the countries concerned. China will unswervingly follow the road of peaceful development and be a defender and contributor to regional and world peace and development. Thank you.
