Han Changfu: Rural environmental renovation can not be fraudulent and fraudulent

On March 5, the second session of the 13th National Peoples Congress opened in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Han Changfu, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Areas, was interviewed at the ministerial corridor. Xinhua News Agency reporter Yin Gang

Han Changfu, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Areas: The questions you raised are very important. Nowadays, rural human settlements are indeed a typical manifestation of the large gap between urban and rural areas, garbage is blown by the wind, sewage by evaporation. This situation still exists in many rural areas. Dirty and disorderly conditions affect farmerssense of acquisition and happiness.

Han Changfu: Therefore, we must take improving the rural human settlements environment as the key task of the Rural Revitalization Strategy to promote. In this regard, the central government has made a deployment, and the State Office of the Central Government has issued the Three-year Action Plan for Rural Human Settlement Environment Renovation, which summarizes and promotes the experience of Thousand Villages Demonstration and Thousand Villages Renovation in Zhejiang Province. Rural Human Settlement Environment Renovation has been launched throughout the country. Specifically speaking, it is necessary to promote the three major revolutions and achieve a promotion.

Han Changfu: First of all, toilet revolution. Small toilets are the peoples livelihood. The difficulty of using toilets is not only a worry for farmers, but also an important reason why many of us in the city are unwilling to go to the countryside. Therefore, General Secretary Xi Jinping is very concerned about the rural toilet improvement. He has made important instructions several times, which is the focus of the improvement of our human settlements environment. This year, 30,000 villages across the country will be promoted, and roughly 10 million farmers will be able to improve toilets. The central government plans to allocate 7 billion yuan to support this work. There are also two problems of rural garbage and sewage. In this regard, special actions should also be taken to control rural garbage and to establish a system of garbage collection, transportation and sewage treatment.

Han Changfu: One promotion is to improve the appearance of rural villages. This year, the village cleaning campaign was launched nationwide. Specifically, it is three cleanings and one reform. It is to clean up old garbage, village ditches and ponds, livestock and poultry manure and other agricultural production wastes. It is necessary to guide people to change their unhealthy habits. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. Lets work together to make the countryside greet the National Day cleanly. Of course, this is not a simple matter, so the rural environmental improvement is not a simple matter, nor can it be completed in three or two years. Therefore, in our work, we also emphasize that in a nutshell, there are eight words: to really work hard and to work for a long time. If we really grasp the practical work, we must adjust measures to local conditions. We can not make superficial articles, make false manipulations, make false and fool things. That is not possible. In the following survey, we also found that there are places where this situation exists, such as changing the toilet, the toilet can not be used, has become a decoration, so this kind of labor and financial harm should be firmly eliminated.

Han Changfu: Its an arduous task to work hard for a long time. Why is it called toilet revolution? It is to change the living conditions and habits of the countryside for thousands of years, so it is necessary to work year after year, push from point to point, and turn bonsai into landscape. We believe that through common and long-term efforts, farmers can live the same life as city dwellers.
