Lin Shaochun introduced that since the reform and opening-up, Guangdong has played an important role in deepening cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The first foreign-funded enterprise and the first five-star foreign-funded hotel are all invested by Hong Kong and Macao enterprises. According to our statistics, by the end of last year, Guangdongs introduction of foreign capital exceeded 450 billion US dollars, bringing not only capital but also market-oriented management concepts, such as Shenzhen. To sell land use right by public auction is to learn from Hong Kong and Macao. Hong Kong and Macao are both contributors and beneficiaries of Guangdongs development. The construction of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will bring new and big development opportunities to the three regions. As far as Guangdong is concerned, we can learn from the degree of internationalization and marketization of the economy in Hong Kong and Macao, promote biochemical reform in Guangdong, enhance our level of opening up to the outside world, promote more convenient investment and more free trade. At the same time, Hong Kong and Macao have strong scientific and technological strength and high-end elements. There are four university platoons in Hong Kong and Macao. The top 100 in the world, if combined with Guangdong, can promote high-quality development.
For the Hong Kong and Macao region, such a large market will bring new development opportunities and expand development space for the Hong Kong and Macao region. Guangdong Province attaches great importance to the development and construction of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao as the outline of the development of the new era, focusing on promoting the construction of rules, scientific and technological innovation platforms, as well as the interconnection and interoperability of infrastructure, the construction of advantages of the modern industrial system, as well as cooperation to go out and open to the outside world, and how to create a convenient environment for the peoples livelihood. We will focus on promoting connectivity and integration in terms of rules, such as good experience in urban management and business environment in Hong Kong and Macao. We can learn from good practices and take them to other cities in the Bay Area to achieve connectivity.
For example, Hong Kong and Macao have good practices and experience in the liberalization of investment and trade facilitation. Other cities in the Bay Area can not do it at once. They should study detailed studies, formulate rules and strive for consistency. For example, we are concerned about the old-age services and medical security in the Bay Area. Because of the different standards and management methods in the three areas, we will consult with the Hong Kong and Macao regions to strive for more accommodation in this regard.
In a word, if we have more discussions and better discussions, we will surely achieve win-win cooperation.
