Netease TechCrunch reported on March 5 that the US office products and services giant Office Depot announced Monday that it would work with Alibaba to better meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises in the United States.
The partnership includes building a joint brand e-commerce website on Alibabas website and allowing Alibaba access to Odis customer base and sales agents. At the same time, Odi office customers will be able to use Alibabas supplier network.
The new online shopping website is called www.alibaba.com/officedepot.com. In addition, Odi office products and services will be provided online and offline.
Alibabas network includes more than 150,000 suppliers. Audis sales team, with 1800 people, has established contacts with more than 10 million American business customers who will be introduced to Alibaba.
The two companies also plan to deepen their cooperation by linking Alibabas global logistics capabilities with Odis supply chain and distribution network to provide faster cross-border distribution and logistics services for American SMEs. (small)
