Quick-report parameters: According to the official determination of China Seismological Network, at 6:28 on March 5, an earthquake of M 3.9 occurred in Heshuo County, Bayin Guoling Prefecture, Xinjiang, with a focal depth of 6 km, a epicenter of 42.22 degrees in the north latitude and 86.93 degrees in the East longitude.
The epicentre topography: The average elevation is about 1075 meters in the 5 km range of epicentre.
Historical earthquakes: According to the catalogue of quick report of China Seismological Network, 100 earthquakes with magnitude 3 or above have occurred in the past five years in the vicinity of the epicenter. The largest earthquake was the M6.2 earthquake (185 km from the epicenter) that occurred in Hutubi County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang on December 8, 2016.
