Taiwan was rejected by the World Health Assembly: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: responsibility for the DPP

Q: the registration date of the seventy-first World Health Assembly will be closed today, and no invitation has been received in Taiwan. Taiwan has received an invitation letter from the World Health Assembly from 2009 to 2016 for 8 consecutive years. What does China comment on this? A: the one China principle is the general consensus of the international community. The United Nations General Assembly resolution 2758th and the World Health Assembly resolution 25.1 have established the one China principle, which has followed the World Health Assemblys handling of Taiwan related issues. From 2009 to 2016, the Taiwan region participated in the World Health Assembly in the name of China Taipei and observer for 8 consecutive years. This is a special arrangement made through cross-strait consultations on the basis of the 92 consensus that both sides adhere to the one China principle. Since the DPP administration has so far denied recognition of the 92 consensus that embodies the one China principle, it has undermined the political basis of Taiwans participation in the World Health Assembly. This year, the Taiwan region has no invitation to participate, and the responsibility lies entirely with the DPP authorities.
