A tremolo video was circulated on the Internet, and a large brown Alaskan dog was spotted squatting on a flight seat on a Southern Airlines flight. Today (January 23), a person from China Southern Airlines explained that large pet dogs are not allowed to enter the cabin. This dog is a well-documented spiritual comforting dog.

At present, China Southern Airlines allows spiritual comfort dogs to ride in the same cabin with their owners. The so-called emotional comfort dog is not common in life. Like the guide dog, it is a highly trained working dog. It can comfort peoples emotions through physical contact, help people to spend some difficult time, and play a role of companionship and spiritual comfort to the master.

The person in charge of China Southern Airlines said: It is certain that this is a working dog (including auxiliary dogs, hearing dogs, guide dogs), also known as service dogs, refers to a special dog trained to assist passengers with visual impairment or hearing impairment (provided that the medical department proves the hearing impairment status of such passengers); the transport of working dogs is handled in accordance with the provisions of small animals (pets). However, working dogs can be brought into the cabin by visually impaired passengers or hearing impaired passengers themselves if they meet the transport conditions of China Southern Airlines, and marked on the passengers boarding pass; working dogs, together with their containers and food, can be transported free of charge without being counted in the amount of free luggage; working dogs carried by passengers should wear jackets and ropes for traction before boarding the plane, and should lie on the passengers with impaired eyesight. Or the feet of passengers with hearing impairment shall not occupy seats or run freely in the cabin, and the working dogs shall not declare the value of their luggage. According to the transport regulations of China Southern Airlines, working dogs can enter the cabin free of charge to accompany passengers, but they must have their ID card and quarantine health certificate. When purchasing tickets, the owner should apply and sign a passenger exemption statement. Source: Beijing Youth Daily Author: Liang Lishuangs Responsible Editor: Su Hong-hung_NBJ9980
