PingWest, Jan. 23, according to the Guardian, the U.S. Department of Labor accused Oracle of discriminating in pay, resulting in a loss of $400 million for women and non-ferrous workers. Oracle discriminates against female employees and non-ferrous employees in two ways. The first is to set initial wages according to previous wages, and the second is to guide these employees into low-income career paths.
In 2017, the Office of Federal Contracts Compliance of the U.S. Department of Labor sued Oracle, claiming that white male employees earned more than female and colored workers. At the end of the year, the Ministry of Labor negotiated with Oracle to resolve the dispute. Now the Ministry of Labor has accused Oracle of discriminating in pay and recruitment and even destroying evidence.
