Our country will make unified plans for the construction of military cemeteries and issue relevant policies in due course. At a news conference held today (January 23) by the State New Office, Wang Zhiming, Director of the General Office of the Department of Veterans Affairs and spokesperson for the press, said that the Ministry would do a good job in planning, construction and standard design of military cemeteries with high standards and starting points in line with the principle of unified national planning and territorial construction management.

It is reported that at present, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs is widely listening to the opinions of military and civilian experts, studying some foreign experience and practices, and strengthening top-level design. Wang Zhiming introduced that the reform of the Party and state institutions has entrusted the Ministry of Veterans Affairs with an important responsibility to formulate and guide the implementation of policies such as planning, management and maintenance of cemeteries for veterans. Planning, construction, management and maintenance of military cemeteries is an important link in strengthening the construction of service and guarantee system for veterans, which is of great significance.
