 Russian Federal Security Agency captured the Islamic fund-raising group in southern Russia


Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, January 21 (Reporter Leo) Russian Federation Security Bureau issued a message on 21 that a secret fund-raising group of the extremist organization Islamic State was captured in southern Russia.

Russian Source 21 quoted the Russian Federal Security Agency as saying that the Department captured a secret group in the Krasnodar border area in southern Russia, the Republic of Dagestan and the Republic of Adig. The group is controlled by the extremist organization in Syria, the Islamic State, pretending to be a charitable organization to raise more than 10 million rubles (about 150,000 US dollars) for the Islamic State.

Sources said that three people were arrested in the operation and they had confessed their illegal activities. Law enforcement officers also seized communications equipment, payment instruments and related bills and documents.

It is reported that the Russian National Counter-Terrorism Committee announced on 11 th this month that Russian law enforcement officers killed three criminals who tried to attack the police and flee by car in the Republic of Dagestan on the same day. Police subsequently seized two submachine guns, a pistol and several bullets in the car of the gangsters. After investigation, the three were members of a terrorist group who had participated in recruitment activities in the Islamic State and had planned attacks on religious facilities and law enforcement personnel.
