At least 26 people were killed and 16 others injured in a bus collision with an oil tanker in Baluchistan Province in southwestern Pakistan on the evening of May 21.

According to Pakistani media reports, the accident occurred on a highway in Hubu District of Baluchistan Province. A bus carrying more than 40 passengers collided with an oncoming tanker truck and caught fire. Many passengers were trapped in the bus. Rescue workers have rescued 16 victims and found 26 bodies. The injured were mainly burned, of which at least five were seriously injured.

Reported that due to backward medical conditions and inadequate first aid, many injured people can not be treated in time, and the death toll is likely to rise.

The frequent traffic accidents in Pakistan, such as overloading, speeding, old vehicles and poor road conditions, are the main causes of the accidents.
