Xinhua News Agency, Damascus, Jan. 12 (Reporter Zheng Yihan) Syrian State Television reported that Israeli Air Force warplanes launched a missile attack on the surrounding areas of Syrian capital Damascus on the evening of November 11, causing damage to a warehouse at Damascus International Airport. No casualties have been reported.

Syrian state television quoted military sources as saying that at about 2315 hours on the 11th, Israeli warplanes fired several missiles into the surrounding areas of Damascus, and the Syrian air defense system intercepted and shot down most of the missiles. Israeli air strikes damaged a warehouse at Damascus International Airport. At present, no casualties or other property losses have been reported.

Syrian Ministry of Transport said Damascus International Airport was functioning normally after the attack.

The Israeli government and military have not yet issued a statement confirming whether air strikes have been carried out in the surrounding areas of Damascus.
