 Indonesian Tourism Minister: Restoration of Tourism in Tsunami-stricken Area of Sunda Strait within 6 months


According to the official Indonesian news agency Antara, Arif hosted a conference on tourism co-ordination in Anyer area of Wandan province, a tsunami-stricken area, on November 11. The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism has prepared 15 billion Indonesian guilders (about 7.5 million yuan) for the disaster-stricken areas of Wandan and Nanpung provinces for tourism recovery.

The minister said that in addition to the budget, special allocation funds of 9 billion and 33 billion Indonesian guilders were prepared for the recovery of tourism in Bandan and Nanpung provinces from the special allocation funds for tourism in 2019.

At the same time, Indonesias Ministry of Tourism has prepared to locate 20 national and 3 international-level events in tsunami-stricken areas to promote the recovery of local tourism.
