This morning, a reporter from the Beijing News contacted Ms. Lin, the mother of the missing boy. She said that she lives in Tangcheng Village, Penghu Town, Yongchun County. The lost boy, Yu Yixuan, is 5 years old and her second child.

Ms. Lin recalled that it was about 9:30 a.m. on the 16th that she found her child missing. At the time of the accident, she was at home with her husband and two children. My husband said he wanted to take his son downstairs, so I went upstairs to get my new clothes. Upstairs, I heard the children chirping downstairs.

When she went downstairs, she found that her husband and two children were not at home. Later, she called her husband and was told that she had not taken her second son out. After hanging up the phone, Ms. Lin rode an electric bicycle along the village road to find out, but still not found, so she called the police.
