According to CCTV News in October, since June, more than 100 Holgus film and television companies have applied for cancellation, including Feng Xiaogang, Xu Jinglei and other well-known artists as legal representatives and shareholding enterprises.
Holgus once attracted a large number of enterprises to register because of preferential tax policies. In 2010, Horgos and Kashgar were approved to establish special economic zones. In 2011, the State Council promulgated the preferential tax policy of five exemptions. In 2012, Xinjiang promulgated a five-and-a-half tax preferential policy. In 2014, Holgus was listed and established.
However, according to CCTV news reports, at the beginning of this year, Holgus suspended the return of VAT and preferential personal income tax policies.
