According to China Court Online News recently, the Peoples Court of Huoqiu County in Anhui Province opened a public hearing to hear a case of forging seals of state organs and seals of companies, institutions and peoples organizations. The defendant Luo Mou was sentenced to nine monthsimprisonment and a fine of 20,000 yuan.

From June 2014 to June 2015, the defendant Luo Mou forged one stamp of the Tax Service Unit of the State Taxation Bureau of Huoqiu County, two stamps of the Transportation Bureau of the Peoples Government of Huoqiu County, one special stamp of the household registration of Xindian Police Station, one stamp of the Peoples Government of Xindian Town of Huoqiu County, and five stamps of the State organs. One seal of Luan Xinqiao Assessment Firm, one seal of Huoqiu Xindian Town Central School, one seal of Caomiao Town School, one seal of Huoqiu County, one certificate of business center of bank card of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Liuan Branch (01), one seal of Weaponry Equipment Group Finance Limited Company, one seal of Huangmiaogang Villagers Committee of Huoqiu Xindian Town, and one seal of Huoqiu County. After trial, the court held that the defendant Luo Mou forged the seals of state organs, companies, institutions and peoples organizations. His actions constituted the crime of forging the seals of state organs and the crime of forging the seals of companies, institutions and peoples organizations respectively. He should be punished for several crimes in accordance with the law. Seventeen forged seals seized in the case shall be confiscated. When the defendant Luo Mou returns to the case, he truthfully confesses his criminal facts, which is a confession and is given a lighter punishment according to law. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Criminal Law of the Peoples Republic of China, the defendant Luo Mou was sentenced to seven monthsimprisonment and a fine of RMB 10,000; the defendant Luo Mou was sentenced to six months imprisonment and a fine of RMB 10,000 for forging seals of companies, institutions and peoples organizations. The defendant was sentenced to nine monthsimprisonment and a fine of RMB 20,000.
