Canadian Desire for Life: Comrade Bethunes Moving Out from the Embassy in China
At 5 p.m. this afternoon, the officer of the Canadian Embassy in China sent a message about Bethune, introducing his experience as an international anti-fascist fighter during the Spanish Civil War. Bethune is a hero of Canada and a symbol of friendship between the Chinese and Canadian people. It should be reasonable for the Canadian Embassy in China to commemorate him. But for well-known reasons, the official news is obviously speculative.
If we really want to restore the good impression of Chinas netizens on Canada, the Canadian authorities need to be down-to-earth to do a good job, seriously reflect, and find their independence and dignity, rather than consuming Comrade Bethune.
