By the 100m handover, China was second, one second behind the United States. In the second breaststroke, Shi Jinglin kept up with the U.S. team, slightly ahead of Australia, and was 1.42 seconds behind the U.S. team at 150 meters. In the 200-meter handover baton, China still leads Australia and lags behind the United States by 1.45 seconds.
