12-year-old Mum-killing Boy Released Father: People are angry that the children are too big to go home

On the evening of December 2, Wu Mokang, a 12-year-old boy from Yuanjiang, Hunan, complained about his mothers strict discipline and killed her with a knife after being beaten. Reporters from the Beijing News confirmed from various channels that Wu Mokang had been released by the police because he was under the legal age. His father said that his son wanted to be sent back to school after his release, which was opposed by most parents. He hoped that the local town government could help with the discipline.

On December 3, the Propaganda Department of the Yuanjiang Municipal Committee issued a message that at 12:24 on the same day, the Yuanjiang Municipal Public Security Bureau received a warning that a murder had occurred in Donganyuan Village, Sihushan Town. A 34-year-old woman, Chen Mou, was killed in her bedroom with multiple knife injuries. The suspect was locked in Wu Mokang, her son, a sixth-grade student. After the preliminary interrogation, Wu Mokang, dissatisfied with his mothers strict discipline and resentment after being beaten by her mother, killed his mother with a knife at 9 p.m. on December 2.

On the evening of December 11, Beijing News reporters learned from various channels that Wu Moukang, a 12-year-old boy, was released on December 6. A person familiar with the matter said Wu Mokang had been released after failing to reach the legal age.

A relative of Wu confirmed that the boy had been released and was staying with his father, grandparents and grandparents. He said family members wanted to send their children back to school, but were opposed by neighbors and parents. Many parents in the school do not allow him to go back to school for fear that he will commit crimes again. Many residents near the school said they were afraid.

On the morning of the 12th, a reporter from the Beijing News found Wu Moukangs father in a hotel in Sihu Mountain Town. He said that Wu Moukang was born a few months ago, his wife went out to work, and when the child was five years old, he went out to work himself. His son grew up with his grandparents. He liked to borrow other peoples mobile phones to play games. He spent his pocket money on betel nut, cigarettes or playing games. Two years ago, the wife gave birth to a second child and returned home to take care of the two children. He hates his mother because his wife is strict in discipline. The neighbours said they had seen their sons and wives quarrel and even started to do so many times.

Wu said that since his sons release, the family had stayed in a hotel in the town. Now the people are so angry that the children cant go back home. On the other side of the school, other parents are afraid that he will go back to the accident. Its very difficult to do so. I hope the government can help solve it.
