China News Agency, Chengdu, Dec. 11 (China News Agency, Chengdu) Hand in Hand - 2018 Joint Anti-Terrorist Training of the Chinese and Indian Army officially opened on Dec. 11 in Chengdu, Sichuan.

China and India are linked by mountains and rivers, and the two armies have frequent exchanges. According to reports, this joint training is the seventh joint anti-terrorism training between the two armies since 2007, aiming at enhancing mutual trust, consolidating past achievements, exchanging training experience, exploring ways and means, and jointly improving joint anti-terrorism capabilities, not targeting third parties.

In his speech, Major General Kuang Dewang, senior representative of the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) Joint Training, said that at present, the global threat of terrorism is still serious. Sino-Indian military relations are an important part and bridge of bilateral relations. We believe that with the joint efforts of both sides and through this joint training, China-India friendly and pragmatic cooperation will be vigorously promoted, and Sino-Indian military exchanges will be further promoted. The joint training lasted for 14 days. The officers and soldiers of China and India will disrupt the original structure and reorganize into Company A and Company B. In accordance with the three stages of adaptability training, joint training and comprehensive drilling, they will jointly complete the training of the topic of joint anti-terrorism operations in neighborhoods under urban conditions. It is reported that the officers and soldiers participating in the training will also carry out cultural and sports friendship activities to exchange culture and enhance feelings.
