Japans intention to exclude Huawei from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Procurement List: serious concern

According to Kyodo News Agency of Japan (Kyodo News Agency) on July 7, a Japanese government source revealed that, in view of the allegations that Huawei Technologies and ZTE, Chinas telecommunications equipment giant, were related to Chinese intelligence agencies, the Japanese government basically decided to exclude the products of the two companies from the government procurement list.

At a regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held on the afternoon of July 7, the spokesman responded by saying that we are seriously concerned about the reports. The Chinese government has always encouraged Chinese enterprises to carry out friendly cooperation with foreign countries on the basis of abiding by local laws in accordance with market principles and international rules. The essence of Sino-Japanese economic and trade cooperation is mutually beneficial and win-win. Huawei and ZTE have been operating legally in Japan for a long time. We hope that Japan will provide a fair competitive environment for Chinese enterprises to operate in Japan and refrain from doing anything harmful to mutual trust and friendly cooperation between the two sides.
