Saudi Arabia-5A/5B satellites are LEO remote sensing satellites developed by Kings Science and Technology City of Saudi Arabia. Each satellite has a mass of 425 kg and a design life of 5 years. The payload is a panchromatic/multispectral high-resolution camera, which is mainly used to obtain ground images. The 10 small satellites launched on board were developed by Changsha Tianyi Research Institute of Hunan Province and Beijing Nine-day Microstar Technology Development Co., Ltd.
The 12-satellite launch mission is the 293rd space flight of Chinas Long March launch vehicle series.
