Gao Feng said that China will start with agricultural products, energy, automobiles and other fields and immediately implement the specific matters on which the two sides have reached consensus. Then in the next 90 days, China will consult on issues such as intellectual property protection, technical cooperation, market access and trade balance that meet the common needs of both sides in accordance with a clear timetable and road map. Both sides should strive to reach consensus.
Summit believes that in the next 90 days, China and the United States will take abolishing all tariff increases as the ultimate goal, consult on major issues of bilateral concern in accordance with the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, and care for each others concerns, and strive to reach consensus.
Gao Feng said that China has been expanding its imports in recent years in order to meet the needs of the Chinese people for a better life and high-quality development. In previous rounds of consultations, China and the United States reached preliminary consensus on trade issues in agricultural products, energy and other fields. Next, they will continue to hold consultations on trade issues in agricultural products, energy, industrial manufactured goods and services.
