Last Saturday (December 1), the pop singer revealed details of the songs creation when he chatted with fans on personal social media.
She revealed that she wrote the song on a rather difficult day in New York: I just broke up, my friend took me shopping, and we drank too much champagne together. I bought a lot of rings and I created them on the way back. A few weeks after the song was written, the single was released. The video of the song soon broke YouTubes record, making it the first song to be broadcast on the platform with the highest number of hits, and breaking 24-hour browsing, with more than 50 million hits.
